Burst – Illustration Friday

I’m trying a simplified version this week.

I wanted to try and on color and not be too concerned about creating the most impressive piece from an Illustration perspective. another thing that informed my choice to do this is that I’ve just been spending so much time lately on these Illustration Friday pieces that it has started to really eat into my week.

I mean, my original intention for going back to I.F. was too practice being able to come up with finished illustrations quickly. For some reason it turned into the opposite.

I think that there’s a term for that. I think it’s called obsessive compulsive disorder.

Even now, I’m looking at this and thinking about other things i can add. shadows to the trees, highlights to the face. Damn it! I’m going to end up doing that as well. I know it. i just not destined for the five minute doodle.
