Daily Sketches: Week 2
Monday: The Kruds
Long live the Kruds! This was my short lived idea(less than 25 minutes) for a corporate, manufactured pop group. It was just gong to be your average mainstream pop thing. Paganisim, sacrcifices and other forms of unbridled hedonistic behavior. Unfortunately I had to abandon this venture after it became clear the Simon Cowell was not going to be involved. Such high hopes as well.
Tuesday: Long Live Sunday League Fitbaw
Ah yes! The unique creature that is the Sunday league footballer. The majority of them turn up for games still blootered on alcohol from the night before and would quite happily break both your legs if the mood suddenly took them. God bless the Sunday league.
Wednesday: Christopher Walken Livens It Up
i actually never intended this to be Christopher Walken but I did use a youtube video of that very man dancing as a reference for this. Once I posted it on the old facebookers on Wednesday, everybody seemed to recognize him from his mannerisms so I guess it is him after all.
Shame, if I’d known I would have actually tried to make the face actually look like him.
Thursday: Stormtrooper, Angry Employee Mash Up
A couple of weeks ago somebody came to work dressed as a stormtrooper. No idea why. On Thursday somebody got angry at work over a pretty trivial matter. Thought it might be fun to combine the two.
Friday: Annie the Android
She’s an android! That is all.
Saturday: The Bankers Leap for Glory
I actually had no idea where I was going with this as I drew it and things were no clearer after the five minute timer went off.
However, after posting on facebook, a good friend of mine Graeme Oliver(Ollie) had the idea that it was “Another fat cat banking CEO leaping gleefully into oblivion”.
I think he’s right!
Sunday: Tank Girl
I love Jamie Hewlett’s stuff.
For me, he’s the ultimate talent. In terms of natural drawing ability I suppose he’ll always have the advantage over a minion like me.
Oh well, I suppose I can always best him in the field of male pole dancing if things really don’t work out down the line. Always something I guess.
