Daily Sketches: Week 7

Monday: The Reservoir Dog
Cold as ice…

Tuesday: Morris Dancer
I must confess that I know next to nothing about Morris Dancing. All I know is that it appears to have it’s roots in Britain’s folksy past and people that take part in it sometimes have beards and very serious expressions.

Wednesday: Angel Di Maria
Angel Di Maria of Manchester United fame is something of an odd looking fellow. Good at football though. This one came out really weird. I suppose that is the interesting thing about not feeling 100% in control when I’m drawing. The results are sometimes unpredictable.

Thursday: Iron Man
Somewhere in an alternate universe the creators of Iron Man decided that he should fight his enemies by challenging them to a ballet dance off. And. It. Was. Awesome.

Friday: Withnail(without “I”)
Alas poor Withnail. Another that was “too mad to live and too crazy to die”(or so we hoped).

Saturday: Beck
Beck is probably one of the biggest influences in my adult life. A gentle soul. The calm at the center of the seemingly unending storm.

Sunday: Kris Novoselic
Another bug influence. A shame, we didn’t get to see enough of him before the too soon implosion of Nirvana. The band is tinged with far too much sadness now for obvious reasons but it’s so important to remember that at the time it was all energy and excitement. Of it’s like I had never witnessed before.
