Daily Sketches: Week 8

Monday: Shaun of the Dead
Seeing as this was the week that The Walking dead was coming back, I was planning to do a zombie themed illustration each night but I think it was starting to scare a few folks on facebook. I managed one for Tuesday also before changing theme. I know, know, so much for commitment.

Tuesday: Not Telling
I only realised after doing this that I couldn’t say where this illustration was from or it would be a massive spoiler for anybody that hadn’t seen the movie. I’ll give you the lamest clue ever though, IT’S A ZOMBIE MOVIE!!! UURRRGGHHHHH!!!!!

Wednesday: True Detective
I thought the first season of True Detective was amazing! A lot of people had a few gripes with the ending but what can you do? I approved!

Thursday: Ballet Person
This was a weird one. I couldn’t seem to do anything that I was happy with. Every illustration that I did seemed to be really tight. Maybe it was just one of those nights. This one is OK but definitely not one of my favourites.

Friday: Cookie Monster Takes the Oath
Due to an administrative error, all corporate super-pac donations went to the wrong candidate that election year, with embarrassing consequences.

Saturday: William Hartnell, The Doctor
So I have decided that every Saturday I should draw one of the Doctors from Doctor Who. It’ll take more than 2 months but that’s cool. i’ll probably start coloring them also once I’ve done them all. I think it could be  a good addition to the old portfolio, especially if the art director that considers taking a chance on my freelance illustration abilities happens to be a mad raving sci-fi geek.

Sunday: Michonne, The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead was amazing tonight! This drawing is actually from the comic series. In the TV series Michonne doesn’t waste time with mini-skirts.
